Promontory Animal Hospital is a locally owned, independently operated veterinary clinic for dogs and cats at Unit 104 – 46193 Thomas Road, Chilliwack, BC. Our veterinarians are Dr Gurpreet Kaur, DVM, and Dr Ravinder Singh, DVM. We open in late October, 8:00am to 8:00pm, seven days a week.
Why we chose Chilliwack
Chilliwack was the first place we lived after arriving in Canada. In our own words:
We stayed here for about a month, and during that time, we really loved the community, the surroundings, and the overall vibe of the area. We felt a strong connection to Chilliwack from the beginning, so … it felt natural to come back and build it here.
Promontory Animal Hospital is that return: we built it on purpose in the town that first welcomed us, for the dogs and cats of Chilliwack, Sardis, Promontory, Vedder Crossing, Garrison Crossing, Cultus Lake, Yarrow and the surrounding Fraser Valley.
What we set out to do differently
We wanted to create a more personal, patient-focused experience where every client feels heard and every pet receives individualized care. We wanted to build a supportive, welcoming environment for both clients and the veterinary team.
In practice, that means a few concrete things. Before any procedure begins, you get a written estimate you approve. We explain what we find and why we recommend it. And because we are independently operated, we make the decisions about your pet's care here, in Chilliwack.
Who you will see
Our veterinarians are Dr Gurpreet Kaur, DVM, and Dr Ravinder Singh, DVM. They are joined by a registered veterinary technician, four veterinary assistants and two client care staff: a team of nine.
What we do under one roof
A lot of care happens here, in-house, by our own veterinarians: soft-tissue surgery, spay and neuter, BOAS surgery for flat-faced breeds, eye surgery, Caesarean sections, digital X-ray, emergency ultrasound, dental X-rays and extractions, and all blood work in-house. TPLO surgery, other orthopaedic surgery and echocardiography are performed at our clinic by a visiting specialist, so your pet can stay with a clinic they already know.
Visiting us
We are open 8:00am to 8:00pm, seven days a week, including evenings, Sundays and statutory holidays. We welcome walk-ins for urgent cases, seven days a week; for routine appointments, booking ahead is recommended. Free parking is available on-site.
